My name is Aitran Le, and I’m currently a rising senior. I’ve had the privilege of being part of the Sharma Laboratory for over a year now. Through hands-on work, I developed an interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). At the end of the program, I had the opportunity to present my work at a national conference attended by public health leaders and professionals. There, I was incredibly honored to place second overall with a near-perfect score. I believe this recognition was formulated from not just the content of my project but also from the passion and understanding of IBD I developed over time. This wouldn’t be possible without the continuous guidance I've received from the Sharma laboratory.
