Our Work
Our laboratory uses the rodent of model of Multiple sclerosis (MS), experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) to study how innate immune cells contribute to the inflammatory damage associated with this disease. Our goal is uncover basic immune mechanisms that mediate disease and use this information to develop new and more specific targeted therapies for MS. Current Projects
- Meningeal Immune Responses
Investigating how meningeal immune responses affect CNS inflammatory disease - Mast Cells and Pathogenesis
Uncovering what cellular and molecular events allow the breakdown of the Blood Brain Barrier in MS - Sex Dimorphism
Determining what accounts for the sex differences in disease
