Training

Our laboratory believes in creating a diverse, supportive and enriching environment for trainees by fostering activities that promote development of skills that are integral for success in academic and industrial settings. The laboratory organizes special activities as part of our regular group meetings, including mock study sections where real life grant applications are reviewed in a study section setting, grant writing workshops focused on exercises to improve composition of each section of a grant application, ideas laboratories and tips on searching and negotiating your next position. We also emphasize tailored training to meet trainees' career expectations. Trainees are encouraged to explore different career paths and openly discuss changes in direction with mentors so training can be adjusted to individual needs. View testimonials from former trainees.
