Interdisciplinary approaches to studying mechanisms of lung injury.
The Sznajder Lab
Our Research
Our laboratory utilizes interdisciplinary approaches to study mechanisms of lung injury. We focus on the role played by LUBAC and Na,K-ATPase during influenza A pneumonitis. Another focus is on the sensing and effects of hypercapnia in the lungs leading to lung and muscle dysfunction. We also study lung injury and proteostasis, which encompasses cellular processes that regulate protein folding, misfolding, unfolding, degradation, and repair.
