Jiejie got her PhD in neurobiology from Zhejiang University in 2016. For the past few years, she has been focusing on NMDA receptor trafficking and synaptic plasticity.

Currently, Jiejie is studying Rett syndrome under the guidance of Dr. Antonio Sanz-Clemente. Outside of the lab, Jiejie likes music, painting and traveling.

Luca Zangrandi obtained his Master Degree in Medical Biotechnologies at the Tor Vergata University in Rome before earning his PhD in Neuroscience from the Medical University of Innsbruck in 2015. For the past few years, he has focused on the potential of kappa opioid receptors as a drug target in the treatment of epilepsy and its role in anxiety and depression.

Currently, Luca is investigating the involvement of NMDA receptors, in particular the GluN2B subunit, in the pathophysiology of Alzheimer disease. During his free time, Luca enjoys outdoor activities, good food and exploring different cultures.

Andrew was born and raised in Los Angeles. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, majoring in biochemistry. While at UCLA, Andrew began his research career by studying the photic regulation of mammalian circadian rhythms in the lab of Christopher Colwell.

Currently, Andrew is working towards completing his graduate studies under the guidance of Dr. Sanz-Clemente. Outside of the lab, Andrew enjoys watching movies, seeing concerts, and traveling.

Levi obtained his Masters in Biomedical Science from Midwestern University in 2013 with a focus on immunology. After Midwestern, he spent time at Loyola University Chicago studying tumor immunology.
