Postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Marcus Peter.
Post-doctoral positions are available for highly motivated candidates with a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, cancer research, cell biology, in vivo mouse tumor models, and/or bioinformatics.
We are a cancer research laboratory attacking cancer in multiple ways, from in vitro signal transduction studies to preclinical mouse tumor models, to translational research involving nanoparticles to treat cancer. Our work focusses on different cell death pathways and the role of miRNAs in the tumor microenvironment. We are developing novel ways to kill cancer cells based on our recent work published in Nature, Molecular Cell, Cell Reports and Nature Communications.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree and have strong laboratory and analytical skills. Significant technical experience in one or more of the following areas are required: molecular biology, miRNAs, preparation and characterization of nanoparticular drugs, in vivo mouse work (ovarian or breast cancer preferred), and/or cancer bioinformatics.
Full applications including curriculum vitae, a brief summary of past, current and future research interests and accomplishments, two to three references, and expected availability date should be submitted to: Marcus E. Peter, PhD.
