- Postdoctoral Fellow - A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Department of Pharmacology, Northwestern University in the laboratory of Dr. Paul DeCaen. We study the molecular mechanisms of Polycystin TRP channel regulation and their impact on cilia physiology and human disease. We use transgenic and knockout models and employ an integrated set of electrophysiology, biochemical, and imaging techniques to study Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). We are looking for an experienced electrophysiologist with significant experience in current clamp and voltage clamp techniques. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in brain slice techniques and/or kidney electrophysiology, and mouse colony management. We seek a self-motivated candidate that must be able to work independently and within the team of scientists within our growing laboratory. Interested applicants may send either a CV or Biosketch to Paul DeCaen PhD.
